Professional Development Workshops
As a NASA Master Educator, Laura provides professional development (PD) workshops that allow educators to earn up to six professional development credits toward their yearly PD requirements. Topics include, but are not limited to, “How to Utilize Universal Instructional Design in Your Classroom,” “Climate Change,” “Gravity and Black Holes,” “Pollinators,” “Planetary Science Topics,” “Earth Science Topics,” “NASA Missions,” and “Astrobiology and the Search for Life.”

Laura integrates current, data-driven scientific research and mission updates into her workshops, providing educators with accurate, up-to-date information and classroom-ready strategies that can be directly incorporated into their curriculum. Her workshops are tailored to each school’s needs and provide teachers with a strong foundation in the subject matter so they can communicate complex scientific concepts more effectively to their students.
